The older Philips TV tuner cards came out in early 2000's, even when they were new they had compatibility issues and driver problems. Drivers are documented to work with x86 (32bit) versions of Windows from 98 until Windows 7. Don't test the installation on a production machine, do a backup before you try.

TV cards based on the saa713x chips are well supported by the saa7134 driver. The picture quality is typically high, and the sound can be taken directly from the TV card (SAA7131, SAA7133, SAA7134, SAA7135) or through a patch cable to your sound card (SAA7130HL). On the text capture front, both teletext and NTSC closed captioning are supported.
Support for DMA sound, or sound taken directly off the PCI bus, has improved in the 2.6.16 kernel, thanks to the work of Ricardo Cerqueira and others. There are now two separate drivers for DMA sound, saa7134-alsa and saa7134-oss. In order to enable these in the kernel, you must first have selected support for ALSA and/or OSS under Sound. If you build both DMA devices as modules, you can use both alternately, though they cannot both be loaded at the same time.
If bttv takes very long to load (happens sometimes with the cheapcards which have no tuner), try adding this to your modules configurationfile (usually, it is either /etc/modules.conf or some file at/etc/modules-load.d/, but the actual place depends on yourdistribution):
This card is basically the same as all the rest (Bt484A, Philips tuner),the main difference is that they have attached a programmable attenuator to 3GPIO lines in order to give some volume control. They have also stuck aninfra-red remote control decoded on the board, I will add support for thiswhen I get time (it simple generates an interrupt for each key press, withthe key code is placed in the GPIO port).
Or, Install Vista Drivers.I install the TV Card whitout HD Audio drivers on my Asrock motherboard.The video card have no audio.Then, I install the drivers and PRESTOOOOO....Complete funtions in all software and hardware.
